DanceStreps-n-Dancing – My Mother was a Dance Teacher.
Do you wish you could dance? I’m a guy with a passion for Dance. Perhaps my passion is greater than my dancing ability but that can never stop my dream. DanceSteps-n-Dancing is a blogging forum for everyone to express their every thought and to share their every joy.
My Mother was a Dance teacher . She had her own dance class and also Instructed at the Major Dance Studio in Melbourne Australia. The city where I was born. She tried to teach me at an early age but I never progressed to a level of being noticed. I refused to follow her dancing talents and I continually rebuffed here efforts. Alas for my dance ability, for she died young seeing only the early days of my manhood.
As several decades past my interests began to change, I again clumsily graced the dance floor and have been doing so regularly , perhaps without so much clumsiness. I would like to think that I am now graceful and that some of my mother’s teachings are with me. My wish is that she will know.
Dancing appeals to our most primal instincts. Dance has been a part of culture for as long has man has walked the planet. It stimulates the senses – sight, sound and touch – it’s great fun and it’s good for our bodies and minds. There’s something for every pair of dancing feet.
My liking of dancing and the many friends I have made has introduced me to a new way of life. I need to remind myself that other people may have different interests. When talking to people away from the dance scene I find it necessary to become a listener for I now realize they too have passions of their own.
My website is not in memory of my mother. She is just there. Perhaps with a guiding hand. DanceSteps-n-Dancing is an expression of my dancing experiences and the thoughts of others. At DanceSteps-n-Dancing you may watch a video dance lesson preview. There are many dance styles. Pick up some dance steps and dance moves to improve you’re dancing experience or just make a post and tell us about you.
It has a commercial aspect too. Links to sites with free and paid DanceSteps-n-Dancing videos and a special guide on how to build a blog like this one for pleasure or income are scattered through the pages. Here you can preview the different dance styles and find one of your liking.
The performance aspect of dance has helped me to build healthy self-esteem and confidence, develops skills that help with other sports, not to mention the fun! And there’s some evidence that dancing to music while you exercise stimulates mental functioning more than silent activities. Building your dance steps into a workout routine is a great way to learn. Just dance to the music you live.
